Gnaw Gnaw (がじがじ, Gajigaji) is the 6th chapter in the Aliens Area manga series.
Summary[]
Hajime tells Tatsumi to watch over the alien girl, while he arrests the assassin. Nyame doesn't believe the Earthlings can beat the assassin and decides that when they fail to take Paiun and run. Ninotachi states that Earthlings are ignorant, but if they disrespect him, he can't easily forgive them. Hajime states that he is ignorant and is underestimating him, and Tatsumi doesn't know anything, so he will be using Ninotachi to instruct Tatsumi. That angers Ninotachi, who shoots out a beam from his sword handle. Surprised, Hajime still manages to dodge by deactivating his equipment. Tatsumi is surprised by the power of the beam as it cut through multiple walls.
Hajime bets that Ninotachi's weapon will be recharging right now. He figures that this is directional optical weapon, shooting Beam of Light. The sword from earlier was a shape-memory optical weapon. Hajime tells Tatsumi that he needs to learn the enemy gear and each has three. He notes that he has a tube-like device and uses it with optical equipment. Tatsumi realizes that the device is a clue to the equipment and Hajime confirms, but before he can finish, he notices Ninotachi making his equipment light up, but doesn't shoot anything. As Hajime turns again, he sees a device shooting a laser and hitting his cheek, and realizes its a weapon they have never seen on Earth before. Ninotachi explains that the beam haven't charged yet, but it set him up as a target. Nyame recognizes that this is a marker and once it chooses its target it will it will track him automatically. Ninotachi adds that the beam will follow him until it kills him and he will spare him only if he gives him the princess.
Ninotachi wonders why he is even bothering protecting her. Hajime states that he will protect her from scum like him, until her mother planet takes her. Ninotachi laughs, saying that he is indeed ignorant and that the butler is fooling him. Ninotachi reveals that the motherplanet is already a colony and the butler knows it. His mission is to end the royal line, to prevent any attempts for revenge. No one is coming for the princess and all of her family has been executed already. Nyame tells Paiun to not listen to him. Ninotachi states that if they keep her alive, more assassins like him will come and she is better off dead. Tatsumi also tells Paiun to ignore him. Paiun then climbs on his head and bites him while crying. Hajime tells Tatsumi to watch her. Nyame tells him there is no need for him to die and they should run, but Hajime assures him, he won't be dying. Hajime then activates his second equipment.
