Tatsumi's arm heads towards Yumeko, who then warps behind Hajime, who also asks them to stop the fight. Ginji wonders if Tatsumi will be able to stop, but Hajime states he already instructed him on how to stop. Tatsumi recalls he needs to use memories and remembers the kids, which calms him down and deactivates the implant, returning his arm to normal. Yumeko apologizes for challenging Tatsumi, but he is fine with it. Hajime notes that Tatsumi's implant is very volatile and not everyone is comfortable with that. However, Hajime intends to shut them up.
Hajime takes Tatsumi and tells him that he needs to present his accomplishments to the higher-up, which is why he wants to handle a major incident. Unless Tatsumi is coincidentally at the place of trouble, but the big shots will decide what he handles after the preliminary investigation. They meet with Shuji Sata, the Foreign Affairs 5 Site Supervisor Chief, who notes that Hajime is late. The researcher Shizuchiyo Mieno explains that the lockdown was completed 72 minutes ago within 100-meters of the incident, and agents are gathering information and erasing memories. Hajime decides to take a look and sees an octopus-like alien coming out of a human. Hajime activates his equipment and tries attacking it, but the alien runs away and hides in a factory.
Hajime finds this odd as the incident started in the factory. As the witnesses saw a suspicious organism, they labelled it as alien encounter and gave it to Foreign Affairs 5. However, if the alien wanted to escape Foreign Affairs 5, it wouldn't make sense to return to the factory. Tatsumi agrees and wonders if there is something important here. They see a floating box and a child-looking alien comes out of it. It gives them a black cube. Tatsumi wonders if the alien is dangerous, but Hajime identifies the species being friendly and from minor planet code E2-8049. The alien then taps the black cube and a statue-like creature appears. As its trying to relay some message, Hajime uses a translator. As they translate the message, they learn there is an assassination plot and this individual is related to government official from planet Barubapa, and this is a request to protect it accordance with Outer Space Law. Hajime then states they got a major case and will look good if they solve it.
